The first birthday is always such an exciting event for Mum & Dad to celebrate, and sometimes, I think the parents tend to have more fun than their Birthday Baby! Last month little Ryan turned ONE and to celebrate his very clever Mummy made him a play hot air balloon and had a talented friend make a beautiful 1st birthday cake for Ryan to smash. I think Ryan’s older brother did most of the cake smashing, but it was such a fun little set-up it meant both the boys could just play together. Their beautiful Brisbane home backed onto a lovely little lake where the boys could play in the grass and “take off” in their hot air balloon – hehe 🙂 Ryan’s older brother Arya was a wonderful help at the photo shoot, keeping his brother amused, but nothing matched Daddy’s cuddles and eventually that’s where he wanted to be – he had had enough “flying” for the afternoon. Covered in blue icing we thought we’d let the boys have a little play with their shirts off – so cute! They left their snazzy little bow ties on though, Mum did a great job making them look oh so handsome!
