I have a confession to make.
I have a strange obsession with helium balloons. For my son’s 1st birthday I didn’t bother with bunting, or streamers, or a bubble blowing machine. But I went crazy with helium balloons. Our lounge and kitchen with filled with 100 of them and while my husband could quite understand why we needed so many (which we really did), they looked spectacular. Double bonus then when I was allowed to whip out the helium balloon trick again for my daughter’s first birthday, just to be fair, of course!
When our beautiful clients Michael and Sarah, with their daughter Charlotte – who had just turned 1, happy birthday Charlotte! – arrived with a delightful bunch of helium balloons for their recent family photography shoot at our Hawthorn studio, I had to work hard to contain my excitement. I don’t think I was very successful at masking my emotions however as they GAVE ME their balloons at the end of their shoot.
They were just as thrilled with their beautiful photographs as I was with my balloons. We focused mostly on a stunning array of colourful lifestyle images rather than our black and white signature range, yet I think we still managed a perfectly classic yet subtly contemporary mix of frames and canvases for their home.
