Believe it or not, the appointments that I have with clients late on a Friday afternoon are my favourite. It’s always a great vibe; maybe it’s simply because it is the end of a week, everyone is geared up for a great weekend ahead, and the Monday to Friday grind is momentarily suspended. Whatever the case, the viewing appointment I had with Jane and Shardia last Friday was exactly like this. In fact, I think more than half the time we shared together was simply chatting, sharing our stories and the hot tips on our local neighbourhood.
Having a daughter myself, I really loved being part of the process of creating these images for Jane. Our super-star photographer (and studio manager, Rachel) captured a gorgeous range of Signature style black and white images for these beautiful women, but it was the individual photograph of Shardia that saw us reach for the tissues. Jane was so proud and so delighted when it appeared on screen (and I think Shardia thought it was pretty cool too).
It will be my daughter’s first birthday next Friday and as part of her celebrations we are having a long overdue family shoot. I will certainly be having some images captured of Dulcie and I together and if they are as half as gorgeous as this I will be a very happy mummy.
