I was honoured to capture this beautiful family’s newborn shoot, with their gorgeous 3 week old baby Katio and their loving 2 year old toy poodle Ruffy.

Baby Katio is the sweetest thing, with a full head of black hair and beautiful eyes.

Originally from Japan, I photographed him in his traditional Japanese gown which was really special to them.

This shoot was lots of fun; Ruffy was playing up to the camera doing the cutest poses, he is such a loving dog. Baby Katio pleasantly surprised us with a sprinkle of wee all over dad! As you can tell mum thought it was hilarious. I am so glad they purchased this shot! It’s such a funny moment. You never know what is going to happen working with animals and babies! I really wanted to take the pair of them home in my camera bag! Preferably both with nappies on!
