But here’s the good news: once you book your session with me, all of that pressure melts away. My job is to take care of the chaos — your only job is to show up and enjoy your people.

There’s usually one person who pulls everyone together (we love you, family MVP!). They wrangle calendars, coordinate outfits, and convince their siblings it’s time for updated photos. Whether it’s for Gran and Pop’s 50th anniversary, or just because it’s been way too long since the last big family photo — these sessions always mean so much.
And while yes, it’s a big job, it’s my kind of big job.
I’ve photographed hundreds of families all over Brisbane for 30+ years, and I bring a calm, joyful energy to every shoot. I know how to get the best from each group (even the toddlers and teenagers!), how to pace the shoot so no one gets overwhelmed, and how to make sure everyone walks away feeling seen and celebrated.
What’s Included (and Why It Works)
I charge a flat fee of $355 for a generational shoot on a weekend — no extra charges for extended family or additional groupings. That’s just not how I roll. That means no sneaky extras or stress on the day.
We’ll start with group portraits of the whole clan — grandparents, grandkids, all the siblings and partners. Then, while we’re all together, I’ll take time with each individual family unit. Think of it as multiple family photoshoots in one relaxed session.
We’ll go at your family’s pace. There’s no stopwatch, no rushing. If someone needs a moment, we pause. If we need a little extra time to get everyone smiling or the lighting just right, that’s absolutely fine. This isn’t just about getting photos done. It’s about capturing the heart and connection of your family — and that takes time and care. The goal is simple: to get authentic, beautiful portraits that reflect your family’s real connection.
Other photographers might rush you through or charge more for “extras.” Not here. My goal is to keep it simple and meaningful, not transactional.
Keeping It Stress-Free at the Design Consultation
After the session, you’ll have a design consultation to choose your favourites before producing the finished art. No pressure to decide on the day. I can the digital gallery to everyone — because let’s be honest, everyone wants to see everyone’s photos!

To avoid overwhelm, I’ve found that having each family come in separately works beautifully. That way, we can focus on one group at a time, and everyone gets space to enjoy going through the photos and choosing the best ones for them to print out into finished artwork. Rather than having everyone choose altogether, this ensures that each family bases their decision on their own preferences, considering their best expressions, fave moments and even considering how it’ll look on their hallways at home.

Last week, I worked with a big, sporty Brisbane family celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary. Five siblings, partners, grandkids — the works. Not just because of the photos — but because she didn’t have to worry about a thing. That’s my job.
